Howdy Partners! Today was so much fun! From the moment we walked in we started to learn about our birthday state! We wrote bio poems describing how Montana would feel if it were human. They turned out great! They are hanging in the hall on our MT birthday sign for your viewing. We also did some trivia! Your kids brought it home to ask you! Are you Montana ready???? Then we had the big birthday party celebration. That is where the news came in. Brad from KULR 8 news showed up. We will be on the 5 and 6 news tonight. FUN! He caught us making our birthday cowboy hat treats, doing a MT city scavenger hunt, and singing the Montana state song. Everyone had a great time and learned a ton!
Tonight kids need to write a letter to me n their nightly journals. This is one of the strategies they came up with yesterday to get help from me. This is the perfect time to share anything they need help with. I will write them back this week. So....no gross writing topics tonight. :0) Letters need to be in best handwriting and at least a half a page.
Thank you to so many of you paying the field trip already. Wow! That is awesome. Please send in the permission slips too. We started our otter study today with a cute little book about Otto. If your child can tell you what Otto's big problem was write it in their planner for $20 tomorrow.
Lastly, how old is this old state of ours? Ask your child and write the answer in the planner for another $10 tomorrow. Cya on the TV tonight!
