Hi there. Happy Monday! I think I may have jinxed some of you by talking about not being absent. We had three out sick today. Seems colds are going around. :0) Sorry. I hope you are all feeling better tomorrow and that no new ones are sick.

The kids are doing great in music class on their recorders. They will have a concert just for 4th grade parents so I will let you know when the date has been released. So cute!

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day. Google and find out the history of it and share it with your child. If they can give you a summary they can read in class tomorrow then write St. V-day in the planner for $100 bonus. Kids need to bring in their supplies or they need to be dropped off by 1:45 tomorrow. Students will NOT sell their treats like we do for birthdays. Thanks for all the donations! Decoration Committee was busy this afternoon getting last minute things together. They will decorate after they eat lunch tomorrow. Don't forget those Valentine cards. They will use their Love Monster bags to collect them in tomorrow so they don't need to bring in a box or bag.

Homework tonight includes making a set of states and capitals flashcards to bring to school. They are due tomorrow. Students that don't have them will make them during the party and when done, they may join back in. (So, as I told them, just get them done tonight and we don't have to worry about them.) Test won't be for two weeks. We will also have a fun Hawaii day as well. Details to follow. Yay!!!
