It's A HURRICANE in here!

The Hurricane blew into both 4th grade classes today and then forty five minutes later it blew back out! Check out these kids making shaving cream/glue hurricanes with the eye, eye wall, and feeder bands labeled correctly. They also worked together to figure out why hurricanes happen. It all has to do with Earth's heat rising from the equator to the poles! Super Fun!

In Math today, we had a guest. Darth Vadar joined our class. He taught us how to annex zeros in order to figure out other ways to name the same number in different ways. Have your child teach you. Ask them to help you find out how many tens, hundreds, and thousands there are in the number 34,000. Make sure you have your light-saber out and ready!!! If they can do it, write down the answers in their planner tonight for a $100 bonus tomorrow!!!

Happy birthday to Jaeden today! She brought some pretty yummy rice krispies treats and oatmeal cookies. She made some serious cash selling those to her classmates. Happy Birthday Jaeden!

Thanks to all of you who attended open house last night. It is always nice to put a face with the name. I appreciate your support. If you missed it, please feel free to swing in and I can answer any questions you might have. Thanks!

Great news!!! All the students that applied for WISH were accepted! Their training to become a reading tutor is next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 8:00 sharp in the library. If students miss a training day, they will not be allowed to become a tutor. Thanks and so proud of all of them wanting to help our little ones become better readers! Wow!

Lastly, just a reminder that book orders are due on Friday. You can order online or by sending it in. I will pay kids their bonus bucks on Monday after I send in the order. Yay!

Have a wonderful evening!
