It's Raining Creativity in Here!!!!

What fun! I got a chance to read (not edit) all of the kid's raindrop paragraphs today. They were so creative. Those that needed a little more or to change some things got a chance to do that today. However, those that still did not get an ok from me, need to continue with their corrections at home. When skimming, I did see A LOT of spelling and grammar errors though. Please help me with this parents. I want their final drafts to be error free. I will not have time to do this for all kids. Please, please read your child's paragraphs tonight and help them to correct these simple errors. To those that did, AWESOME and THANK YOU!!!! They are coming home tonight to evaporate. They need to re-read what they wrote yesterday, and then take off on paragraph two. I gave them an example in their notebooks. However, theirs is not to sound anything like mine. They need to continue with their own creativity!! They are doing awesome! I can't wait to see what happens. The amazing thing was we did not have any of the same named raindrops! Who knew there were that many rain words???

I have posted the new states and capitals for the Southeast region. They need to start to study right away. Make some flash cards, play the blog games, make up a song, whatever. The test will be in two weeks.

Lastly, ask your child if they earned a strike today. If so, ask them why and what they are going to do about it differently tomorrow. If they didn't, then ask them what choices they made to not get a strike. Then write the word strike in their planner for a $20 bonus tomorrow.

Remember to do a session of xtramath.org. They are getting better by the minute!!!
