Back to the grind on Monday!

Hi! Happy Friday and Happy Weekend! It has been a weird week, and it will be GREAT to get back into the regular work week on Monday. We will be jumping into our new Science Unit dealing with Otters and how animals adapt to their environment during winter. We will also finish up our unit in SS on the South East Region. In Math, we will plow through the 5-8s multiplication facts and we will also hit our computer programs hard as well. Daily 5 rotations will continue in our Language Arts Block with our Native American Books coming into play. As you can see, we will be back in the grind.

Due to the half day week and conferences, I will send home the weekly grade reports next Friday. Please remember that you can also see your child's grades whenever you want online. I handed out the information sheet that explains how at your child's conference. I will continue to send home the weekly report on Fridays however for awhile.

We will pay for and discuss the upcoming field trip on the 16th of this month on Monday. I will be out at my technology class on Tuesday, so the kids will have a sub. We will celebrate Montana's birthday (belated) on Wednesday afternoon. We will also be doing a very cool family 4th grade fun night fundraiser on the 18th of this month at 5:30. Your child will have an interactive role with you, so please mark your calendar to attend. They will be making invitations soon.

Today, we skyped in with our new penpals in North Carolina. Very, very cool. Many kids shared they were excited to meet them. We will continue to interact with them all year. Next week, we will write them a return letter in class.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend! If so, put a smiley face in their planner for a $10 bonus on Monday! Smile!!!
