Today we took our final muscle and bone test in science. We will now move onto blood and what it does for our body. Zooming through the body and its parts I tell ya.
In SS we studied our Mid-west states and caps with a friend. We then sang our new versions of Home, Home on the Range and did a voting with the class on a scale of 1-10. I would have videoed them, but this is a shy group when it comes to singing. Too quiet. Finally, we visited Detroit, Michigan and made our cars. We will share those tomorrow and then hang them in the hall for display. Pretty creative cars coming from this bunch...polka dots and all!
In math we continued to practice our double by double multiplication. (ex. 34 x 46). With a friend they had to work problems together and then get them checked one by one. They could not move on until they had that one correct. In the end, it will create a picture puzzle. We will finish those up tomorrow. For homework, they have a three digit by one digit practice crossword puzzle. Their review tests came home today. They rocked them!!! We are adding more and more geometry every day, but never forgetting all the skills we have already learned.
I noticed when reading yesterday's post that the music schedule came out nothing like I posted it. So, let me rewind and try that again.
Morning Show: Sadie, MacKayla, Alex, Brett, Avery, and Cassidy have solo parts.
Afternoon Show: Aaron, Dayna, Megan, Jaeden, Halle and Christopher have solo parts.
Both: Ramsey and LeeRoy have solo parts.
Hope that is clearer than yesterday's mud.
Well, that about does it. Ask your child about the car they designed today. If they can tell you what an assembly line is, write the word ASSEMBLY in their planner for a $10 bonus. Have a wonderful evening.
