We are halfway thru the second hardest week of the year. The first being the last week of school. Kids are hanging in there, and surprisingly I find myself calm and collected. :0)
Tomorrow is our Polar Express Day! WooHoo!!!! Please have your child bring in their train supplies tomorrow morning. They may also wear their pajamas, robe, slippers, stuffed animal, and bring their favorite hot chocolate mug (Make sure it is in a safe place. We had a broken one last year. :0() We will do activities with the book in the morning and the movie in the afternoon. Students that are not able to participate may not wear pajamas. Thanks! I can't wait to see what they come up with tomorrow. If you could take a minute and sit down with them tonight and draw out a blueprint for their train and scene that would be awesome! If you do, have them bring the plan to CC meeting tomorrow and I will reward them with $100. What a great dinner time discussion and quality bonding moment.
The kids had a great time with their technology today. Those that didn't buy in helped me put up snowflakes in order to make our room look like the polar express. They were great helpers!
We are wrapping up our geometry unit in math. Today we heard the story of Mr. and Mrs. Triangle and their three children: equalateral, iscoeles, and scalene. Ask your child about how these baby triangles are different from one another. If they can tell you, write TRIANGLE in the planner for $20 tomorrow. Pretty funny math class. :0) We will talk about them again on Thursday when we make our origami santas. :0)
Have a great night!
