How awesome is that??? Talk about all our hard work paying off! So, we hauled down the popcorn machine and had a celebration! And, who knew watching popcorn pop could be so dang fun! Check out those kids checking out that popcorn. I think we have some future Movie theater workers on our hands. :0) Hilarious!
Today we read about Buffalo Bill Cody in our HR lesson today (what happened on today's date in history?) This was great, because Mr. Senitte just happens to be from there, born and raised! So, he came in and shared all about it. Ask your child what the name of the hotel/restaurant is that just happens to also be the name of Mr. Cody's daughter. It is worth $50 tomorrow if they have it in the planner.
We are wrapping up our three chapters in math this week. Yep, I said THREE chapters. Oh my. We have been working very hard this quarter on graphs, time, calendars, geometry, and ling division. Our unit/quarter test will be on Friday. Absent kids will take it upon their return.

We also wrapped up our biographies in reading today. Tomorrow we will do a concluding bookclub meeting and then we will take a break to do some fun report stuff! They have learned so, so much while reading this. Just take a look at the list:

We will also take our AR tests on these tomorrow. Our read aloud book is getting really good. Ask your child about the sleeping beauty approach to poaching. I wonder if it will work???? We have had some really good discussions and debates with this book and controversial topic.
