The SRI went very well. Many, many points were gained! Please keep in mind that kids that are reading on a 7th, 8th, or 9th grade level will find it very difficult to gain points. They may even go backwards, and that is ok. It is so tough to be that high and gain growth! I am proud of EVERY single kid! They gave it their best, and that is all I expect! Wow! I will send home the results tomorrow with the grade reports. Ask your child how they did today on their SRI test. Draw a Happy Face in the planner if you do for a $10 bonus tomorrow.
Next week will be the last week in Quarter 2. As of right now, I have NO missing work! WooHoo! Grades will cut off next Friday and report cards will go home the 19th. So, pretty much what you see this Friday, will be pretty close to their final grade. Students that have maintained their grades from last quarter or brought them up will make Bitterroot's BUG club and will be honored in the upcoming assembly. Students that also earned straight A's in quarter one and/or two will be in the Bitterroot Terrific Kids Club. They will also be honored at the assembly. Watch for the date. I will let you know in advance if your child is in! Shhhh...they don't know until the assembly!
For some reason, the blog is not liking my videos so I was unable to post them yesterday or today! :0( I will keep trying and ask around for some advise. Stand by on that one.
