Hi. This is the note I was greeted with this morning from the sub.

Dear Tammie,

Your class is awesome! We had NO problems. We got through all the plans. They were very polite, friendly, helpful, respectful, and sweet. I will see them again Friday!

That makes my heart fill with joy! Great job Team Erickson!

This morning the counselor was in to talk with the kids about Empathy. Ask your child what that is. If THEY can tell YOU (not the other way around :0)) then write EMPATHY in the planner for $20 bonus tomorrow. They even learned a little song. I videoed it, but you know the blog and videos so it will be a surprise if I can attach it!

We started our volcano unit today. We will watch the movie tomorrow. Kids should learn even more by watching that!!! We did some research on the computer today to discover the parts of a volcano. Kids will take a quiz on that again at the end of the unit, so they may want to save this quiz as a study sheet.

In SS, we took a left turn from our story and ventured toward Arctic Alaska animals. We read a story about the migration of the caribu. It was pretty cool. We also looked at some pictures of Alaska brought in by Rhys! How cool to see the wildlife up close! We will be on track again tomorrow for the Ice Worm book and nightly writing.

Good luck tomorrow to the honor choir kids. They are on tour tomorrow!!!

Recorders are needed tomorrow for music class.

Have a great night!
