Our junior field teacher also did some fun activities with the kids this afternoon. They played the laughing game. This comes from the Inuit tribe found in Alaska. The rules are to hold onto one another's arms and then start laughing loud and long. The person to laugh the longest wins. It was pretty funny! I loved those belly laugh grins! They then began to make their scrimshaw carvings and stories. Most finished their carving, but none of them finished their story. They need to work on this week. It is due back to her next Wednesday! They can turn them in as they finish.
Thanks to all those that have paid their money for the upcoming events. If your child has yet to do so, please send it in soon. Mrs. Hankin's and I will need to shop for the events this weekend. Thanks.
We ended the day by watching the Magic School Bus Blows Its Top movie. It did a nice job on entertaining the kids while learning at the same time. The best though, was the poprocks creating volcanoes in our own mouths!! How fun!
I am so so proud of our four honor choir girls: Cassidy, Cora, Ramsey, and Alex! WOW!!! What a great performance they put on today. My favorite song was the last one about fireflies. Why??? Well, it had the word BELIEVE in it!!! I also love the Montana State Song. I will me having them share that again in class when we learn it for Montana History. We already sung it during our Montana's Birthday Party! Great, great job girls. I am so proud of you!
Well, tomorrow is another busy day! Have a great night!
