Hi there. Above, is the slide show of our day. We had so much hands on learning today!!! We began our day by reading another chapter in our I am the Ice Worm book about Allison. While reading, kids were listening and making their marshmallow parka visual of Allison. How cute are they???? Kids need to do their letter to Allison tonight for nightly writing. They need to first look at the old one I graded to see what kinds of corrections they need to make while writing this one. Please have them show you the one I graded with the attached rubric. If they do write RUBRIC in the planner for $10. When they are done writing tonight's could you also read it and check to make sure they did not make the same mistakes as last time? If you do so, write CHECKED in the planner as well and earn another $10. Thanks for your help on this.

Our junior field teacher also did some fun activities with the kids this afternoon. They played the laughing game. This comes from the Inuit tribe found in Alaska. The rules are to hold onto one another's arms and then start laughing loud and long. The person to laugh the longest wins. It was pretty funny! I loved those belly laugh grins! They then began to make their scrimshaw carvings and stories. Most finished their carving, but none of them finished their story. They need to work on this week. It is due back to her next Wednesday! They can turn them in as they finish.

Thanks to all those that have paid their money for the upcoming events. If your child has yet to do so, please send it in soon. Mrs. Hankin's and I will need to shop for the events this weekend. Thanks.

We ended the day by watching the Magic School Bus Blows Its Top movie. It did a nice job on entertaining the kids while learning at the same time. The best though, was the poprocks creating volcanoes in our own mouths!! How fun!

I am so so proud of our four honor choir girls: Cassidy, Cora, Ramsey, and Alex! WOW!!! What a great performance they put on today. My favorite song was the last one about fireflies. Why??? Well, it had the word BELIEVE in it!!! I also love the Montana State Song. I will me having them share that again in class when we learn it for Montana History. We already sung it during our Montana's Birthday Party! Great, great job girls. I am so proud of you!

Well, tomorrow is another busy day! Have a great night!
