It is Wednesday!!!!! That's awesome unless you look at it as our first day of a six day stretch of testing! Wowzers...we will be tested out! However, kids ROCKED the test today. I think they loved that they knew the answers and felt well prepared for it. I was VERY impressed with what I saw. They took their time, stayed focussed, and did their best. Because of that, they were rewarded with a cookie...because they are all ONE SMART COOKIE!!! :0)
There is a health test tomorrow. KIds were reminded twice to take home their notes to study. PE shoes are also needed tomorrow for gym class.
Today we took another look at the Northern Lights found in Alaska. We discovered they were made up of shades of yellow and green. I had the kids draw them with chalk. They turned out awesome!!
We also finished up our Inuksuks. (Well, all but three I think). It is amazing how each one is different. The kids also learned how to use the good ole hot glue gun. :0) They did great. We will be doing more with them soon and then they will be on display. But, for now they will hang out in the window sill.
The volcanoes arrived this morning and they were AMAZING!!! Boy, one just walking by or in the room would think that Ms. Erickson teaches art now. :0) I LOVE doing projects like these. The learning just becomes real in their eyes. I will take pictures of the kids with their volcanoes before and after the big KABOOMS!
We test again tomorrow. Thanks for those encouraging notes parents. Keep them coming. They really are making a difference!!!
Have a great night!
