What a CRAZY day! First is was beautiful out, then rain, then snow! Oh my. Tomorrow it is supposed to be warm again. Oh really my!
This morning, in CC meeting, we made the poster you see above. Each kid shared how they were feeling about the test. It was an awesome way to get some great discussion!! They brought out things that I would have never thought to be bothering them. We talked also about strategies to help change negative feelings into positive ones. Like, thinking how proud of ourselves we will be when we see the results. It was a great way to start the day, and I thank them for being so open and honest with their feelings.
Then we had PE and Health. Remember the HIV/AIDS presentation will be this Thursday during their health time.
Then we went straight to lunch.
After that, we loaded up on the bus and went to the Alberta Bair theater. I could have sworn I was in a rock concert with a million screaming kids. Who knew that ten year olds loved Irish music. I know I enjoyed it just as much as they did. It made me want to go to Ireland even more!!! How fun and what a wonderful experience for them to do.
Then, we came back and took a class trip to Hawaii. Kids were each given $400 for a four day trip. They were given many choices of activities they could do on four different Islands. Many of them went whale watching, surfing, in a helicopter ride, and all sorts of other fun stuff. The winning trip, Jaeden's, will be some of the activities we do on this Friday for our Hawaii day!! Fun stuff!
We have our last session of science testing tomorrow. I am loving those pep talk notes in the planners. They are too. Please continue that for tomorrow as well. :0) Remember, bed by 8:30, peaceful morning, and protein breakfast and/or snack. HUGE thanks to Rhys' mom for the protein snacks for the whole class! Wow! Thanks!!!!
Trydenn shared his star of the week stuff today. Very cool stuff from Disneyland. I can tell he really made some good memories there! Now, onto Cassidy!!
Have a great night!
