Today we had another busy day. We started the day off discussing the word BELIEVE. I got to hear about one thing that each of your children could not BELIEVE that they had done in the past. From jumping out of planes onto trampolines to cliff diving. Wow! We have some daring kids! We then made our own BELIEVE cards to tape on their desks. So much of my own life revolves around this word, and it is my absolute favorite word in the world. To BELIEVE in oneself is the best gift I can give your child for their future.
Then we went onto our lesson on the flag. If your child can tell you the name of the lady that made our first flag write it in their planner and receive a $50 bonus tomorrow at check in. We did discuss that the flag story we read has not been proven but it is believed by many Americans to be true. We followed that up with a lesson on the pledge. Ask your child what allegiance and justice mean. Pretty cool lesson.
After lunch, we started our Top 10 things you never knew about me project. Some students finished in class, others brought it home to finish up as homework tonight. If they brought it home, they also need your signature on it as well. We will continue to work on this project tomorrow. Talented kids, and many artists.
Some kids brought in their friends and family pictures today. Keep them coming! Fun times.
Have a great night!
