Hi. Happy Weekend. I don't usually blog until Sunday, but look at me go! I am ahead of schedule! Wowzers! I may add to this on Sunday, so you may want to check back then just to make sure.
Happy Birthday this week to Jaeden. Thanks for those yummy cookies and rice krispy treats!
Great Job Brett on our first star of the week. He shared some bone fossils, dinosaurs, awesome pictures he drew, and his boy scout vest. It was great to learn even more about him. Next week's star of the week is Miss. Megan! Can't wait!
This morning's skype was pretty cool. Mrs. Pierce was able to answer a lot of our hurricane questions. Great questions by the way! The kids had great skyping manners too! Good job.
We finished our nursery rhyme project today in language arts. Check these samples out:

I wish I could type them all on here. They were all so great. Look for them coming home on Monday! We had a lot of fun hearing them in class.
The first official grade reports came home today. Please note that the grades reflect only the subjects that I teach. If your child goes out of my room for reading, spelling, or language then that grade is not valid, and I crossed them out. I highlighted the subject and the final grade. If they were missing the assignment, I noted it. If they were absent then it was left blank. Please take a look at them, sign them, return them with your child on Monday, and then I will send them home for your records again on Tuesday. I need to know that you saw them.
Lastly, sometime this weekend watch the weather channel with your child. There are three new hurricanes brewing out there. If you do, write the word Weather Channel in their planner for a $20 bonus on Monday. Pretty fun to just sit and watch them circle about. Glad we live here!!!
Have a great weekend, and I will see you all on Monday!
