Hi there. It 's a new week. 4th grade is coming together. We are starting to go full speed ahead and some of us are starting to learn that Ms. Erickson tends to use every single minute of the day. Kids are given more than enough time to finish assignments in class (except spelling) and should not be bringing it home. If they are, they are probably not using their time wisely in class. When students are working I am going around and conferencing or working with one or two students that need help. I do NOT babysit. If they chose to not use their time at school, then they chose to take it home. If they chose to not do it at home, then they chose to lose their money and will also make the choice to stay behind on the field trips. They key words here are THEY CHOSE.
Saturday Live is coming up this month. We are asking that each child bring in two bags of non chocolate candy. For example, suckers, nerds, skittles, smarties and so on. Last year, we used this money to pay for one of our field trips. Please try to send in the bags by this Friday. Thanks.
Today, I showed the class a video about a very cool little toy. Dayna's mom sent it to me this weekend. It has to do with our science class. If your child can tell you what the name of the toy was and what it does and how cool it is then write the name of the toy in their planner for $20 tomorrow. Thanks Mrs. Leo!!!
