Hi, and Happy Middle of the Week!
Today we continued on with our Water Cycle Projects. Everything is in place and in the correct order. Now, we get to do the fun stuff like glitter and cottonballs to make them pretty! They will be on display in the hall by Friday. The kids have enjoyed learning it, singing a song about it, and spending time getting to know their Hankin's grademates. In the song though, something happens to Uncle Dan during a Hurricane. Ask your child to fill you in, or watch the song utube linked off to the right. Write where Uncle Dan was hiding in their planner and they will earn $20 tomorrow at check in. Get them to sing part of the song for you, and write the word SUNG in their planner and they will earn $50 more dollars. Wow! $70 in one day!!
This Friday we will be having a small candy, chip, and soda auction. Students will extra cash may bid on certain items of their choice to take home with them. Many students have way too much money!! Good kids I tell ya! I am loving this class and their positive choices!
Thank you for all your help on the writing last night. Their handwriting as a whole was AWESOME! I could tell they either took their time or had to redo it at home. Either way they rocked. We edited the one for tonight together as well. Now, they just need to make the corrections in their final draft. One of the best ways to edit final drafts is to have them read it aloud to you. They often catch their own mistakes when they hear them.
Kids have PE tomorrow. Please help them wear/bring their tennis shoes.
