What a great Spaghetti dinner!

Hi there. I don't know about Billings, but Silesia is a winter wonderland! We spent the weekend hunting and fixing the chicken coop so our little beauties can't fly the coop anymore. It is always fun for kids to play in the snow, and adults!

I'd like to start off by saying thank you. Friday nights Italian Dinner Night was so fun. I am not sure which part I liked the most, seeing the kids dressed up and waiting on you, or hearing all the laughter from the tables. It was our first run at doing this, but over all I think it was good. We learned many things for next year (like serving the entire family at once) and turning up our Italian music. If you have any suggestions, we would love to hear them. We of course would love to write your compliments as well! Write any thoughts about the dinner in your child's planner and they will earn $20 on Monday.

Due to working in the kitchen a lot that night, I didn't get to take a bunch pictures like I had planned. Thank you Mrs. Leo for remembering your camera! I will post any pictures people have to the blog. Just email them to me and I can attach them here. I would really, really love to see and take a picture of all of their outfits and make a slide show. They were just too darn cute to pass up. So...if kids could wear their serving outfit (aprons, notebooks, and all) to school again on Monday I will pay them $100. Thanks!

Grade reports went home on Friday. I am so proud of all of them. The best part of grade reports is seeing the grades and knowing that THEY EARNED them. I don't just hand out grades, kids have to work very hard for them. We have some VERY hard working 4th graders in here! Awesome!

Next week, we only have school on Monday and a half day on Tuesday. In that day and a half, we will wrap everything up. We will be taking our final science test on otters and be talking about our upcoming home otter projects. Information will be handed out tomorrow. We will not have spelling this week, and we will wrap up our native studies. We will also test out of our math unit on basic multiplication, over and under estimating, and algebra. Whew...that is a lot to do in one and a half day, but I BELIEVE we can do it! :0)

Well, have a great Sunday!
