Polar Express permission forms came home today. They know they HAVE to return them tomorrow (unless they are absent of course). Please discuss these with them after you fill them out. Thanks.

I will be talking with the kids tomorrow at our morning CC meeting about snacks. Please make sure that your child is bringing a healthy snack to school. We will make a list of yes and no tomorrow. I have noticed a lot of potato chips and candy lately. Remember, fruits and veggies, hard boiled eggs, nuts, yogurt, or other healthy things are welcome. Starting next week, I will be asking them to put away non-healthy snacks.

This week, I have noticed something unusual for the 4th grade. I have noticed kids wearing the same clothes days in a row. I can understand jeans/pants, but shirts at this age are sweaty and smelly. We have had a little bit of a body odor issue in here. It is not too early to start wearing deodorant at this age for boys or girls. Please refrain from cologne. I have also noticed a poop smell in class. Please make sure your child is showering every night or morning and changing their underwear and clothes. Thanks.

Yesterday, Santa's workshop slips came home. Our time to shop is Wednesday afternoon. Please fill out forms with your child and make sure they have the needed funds to do their shopping. Everything is $1.

Kids will be making their student council speeches tomorrow morning. Please remind them to dress and act the part. Practice tonight would be a good thing!!! Fun! They may use notecards or paper.

Just a reminder all otter projects need to go home tomorrow after or before school. Thanks.

Thanks for all your help editing last night's Rudolph stories. We wrote the final drafts today in class. They were hilarious!!! I love the creativity these kids have. Tomorrow we will make our fun reindeer. Have your child share their favorite story they heard today. If they can retell it to you, write Rudolph in the planner for $20 tomorrow.

Lastly, we have library tomorrow. Please help remember those books. Thanks.

Have a good one!
