Friday Wrap Up Day!

Hello there. What a great day. In reading we are starting our Biography projects. The kids had a great time shopping for their needed supplies to make clothes for their paper doll from the time period of their biography. Some, even got started making them. I can't wait to see them, as the creativity in this class always amazes me! We also wrote hour glass poems with facts we learned about the people. Then we typed them up in word and learned how to center our words on the paper in order to create the hour glass shape. They all did an awesome job.

Report cards are nearing. I will close off grades tomorrow. We have our big math test and spelling test tomorrow. I want to get those grades recorded on this report card. Science, social studies, and language are done. All missing work will be due tomorrow as well. Report cards come out the following week after Mr. Senitte reviews them.

Next week, both 4th grades will be diving into a new science unit. We will be partaking in metric olyimpics. Kids will learn how to use some science tools such as a ruler, graduated cylinders, balance scales, and other fun gadgets. This will last about two weeks. We will also wrap up our SW tour in social studies next week. The states and capital's test will be next Friday.

Remember, there is no school on Monday for students for in honor of the man above. We will be doing some related activities upon our return on Tuesday to understand just how important this man really was. Write the name of this man in the planner for a $50 bonus tomorrow.

We saw a bunch of coins come in again today. Wow! This class is blowing me away. How awesome for me to see the genorsity of these kids and their families. Keep it up!

Library books are needed for tomorrow and we also have a spelling test.

Have a fantastic evening!
